New Page 1 Do you need to quickly access information on media trends?

Nielsen Media Research have compiled a comprehensive review of New Zealanders’ media consumption over the past year, covering:

  • Television
  • Newspapers
  • Magazines
  • Cinema
  • Internet

Local information and international comparisons come together to create a fascinating report on the media environment.

Topline Media Trends

Topline reports will be made available free of charge to all Base Media Services subscribers. Three separate topline reports will be provided:

1. Television (Delivered mid January)
2. AIS (Delivered February)
3. Readership (Delivered early March)

The reports will review media consumption for the previous year, as well as key trends since the early ‘90s. The demographic focus of the information for each report will reflect the currency:

  • Television: All People aged 5+

  • Readership (Newspapers: All People aged 15+; Magazines: All People aged 10+)

For non-media subscribers the access fee to the topline Media Trends reports is available upon application.
