Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability are strategic
positioning disciplines that link a company and its products to improving society
through dealing with social, environmental, cultural or economic issues.
Since 2004,
when the first
“Good is Gold”
was
released from Panorama, Nielsen Media have been tracking consumers uptake
of CSR and sustainability. And the trend is growing.

While Nielsen Media Research continues to collect the information as part of Panorama,
in 2006, the service was licensed to
Nick Jones & Associates Ltd
and was re-branded as
the “Consumer who Cares”. It also now contains New Zealand’s only on going monitor of
support for Non-Profit and Community organisations.
